At MDA we provide tailored lessons to make your experience on the pass plus course as enjoyable as possible and to enable you to gain the most knowlege and best skill set possible. Because of the high standard to which our driving instructors teach, we endeavour to push you to the highest possible standards that you can achieve on the course.
The Pass Plus scheme is aimed at new drivers or drivers who have passed within the last year to help them to become better drivers and reduce their insurance premiums. To join the Pass Plus scheme all you need to do is contact MDA. Your MDA instructor will help you complete the six training modules and pass the training course.
Pass Plus Course an established training course aimed at new drivers. It was designed by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) with the help of insurers and the driving instruction industry.
Statistics show that new drivers are more likely to have an accident in the first two years after passing their test, due to lack of driving experience.
The Pass Plus Scheme builds on your skills and knowledge. It will teach you how to anticipate, plan for and deal with all kinds of hazards, to help you become a more confident driver.
The Pass Plus course consists of six modules about driving in different conditions:

More information on each module is available from the Direct Gov Website
There is NO TEST at the end of the pass plus course. On successfully completing your training you will be given a form which is completed by your instructor. They will then explain how this is exchanged for your pass plus certificate with the DSA. Once following the instructions you are given you'll be sent your Pass Plus certificate to claim your discount on your car insurance policy. You should also consider working towards your Advanced Driving Test. Passing this test would take your driving skills to a higher level, and provide you with further financial benefits.
At our driving school we've reduced the cost to just £190 for the complete Pass Plus course. The Course normally lasts for 6 hours and can either be completed in a day, or it can be spread over several sessions (which ever is more suited to the pupil). You should discuss this with your driving instructor when booking. Additional discounts may be available if you complete the pass plus course after passing your test with MDA. This is because your driving instructor will be familiar with your driving ability.
